Oh my!

He stood in the end
Of the lane, at the bend
A group of four
“I don’t see them”
I’d pretend
Please don’t say my name
Don’t yell at me
I’m ashamed
Why me?
Is it only ‘cuz I’m weak?
It’s been more than
I can take this week
Everytime you pass by
A part of me
Shrinks and dies
Every time you lay your hand
On me, I lie
To myself that
It’s gonna be alright
There are days, I take
The longest way
There are days, I ran
Past your wake
I still feel your hands
Holding my collar, Pushing me,
Mocking my face
And hear your voice
Sending shivers throughout my mane
Years passed, I’m still the same
There’s no escape
When you’re just
A nightmare away

  1. Oh God! This is so frightening! Sent jitters down my spine! This piece is so illustrative and you totally captured the eerie feeling that one experiences at the sight of a bully, even after years of being the victim!

      1. I can relate! It is terrible when you wake up to such a nightmare! Had a similar experience last week.
You have a beautiful level of appreciation for your own work! *rolls eyes* (I beg your pardon for the lack of emojis sir)
Sorry for the late response. My Wi-fi decided to take a nap suddenly! *cue the sarcastic laugh*

          1. Wait…Wait…Wait… Stop where you are and take a few steps back in the thinking trail! I was talking about having a nightmare and not experiencing the situation in real life!
(Although, I agree! It is definitely not safe for women out there. The Newspaper shouts that out loud every day. I hope that no woman has to go through such an experience!)
…Yeah! Sarcastic laugh. I have a very strange relationship with my Wi-fi! *Gives a mean look to her Wi-fi*

            1. Oh! I cannot even put words to my fear for misunderstandings! Aren’t they terrible?
*points out thousands of white hair on his head* (and also,my autocorrect is drunk today or I have a terrible grammar! Should I use β€˜Hairs’ instead of β€˜Hair”)

            2. Thank god! There is someone in this world who gets the point! *sigh of relief*
Our motive should be to abolish stereotyping and not to impose the oppression onto men in the name of feminism!

            3. Absolutely! I don’t deny women of their rights and strongly believe in equality even though there are differences between us because, SPECIES!!! Whatever societal restrictions we imposed on each other are all bullshit.😐
I’m kind of both feminist and meninist.πŸ˜‚

            4. Wait a second! I am back and I have a doubt! You and my autocorrect said that you use ‘hairs’ when it is countable and ‘hair’ when it’s not! In my sentence, I used the word ‘thousands’ and not ‘a thousand’! Me and my terrible grammar are confused!

            5. Wait. What?? When did I say that? *carefully reads the previous comment*
There are two cases: either I have lost the art of commenting or you are at the top of your understanding game today *being too much sarcastic here*! *sigh*
