Plastered to the wall, the sunflower bent down;

Light from the window, water from the pail couldnโ€™t erase her frown. She had to see the sun;

Dismembered roots lay lifeless on the ground.

โ€œLet there be life for one last time. Toss me away, in this state of decay; let me be soiled when he touches my face from the cloudsโ€

For this was love, now nowhere to be found.

            1. So what’s your take.
              Just because we know things don’t last doesn’t mean we will run away from it even if it serves good for time being.
              Aren’t we being selfish here?

            1. Thereโ€™s a raging pandemic out there and you know how risky it is to go out. Everything is permitted and even restaurants are gonna be open from today. Itโ€™s a nightmare.

            1. Now,it’s a difficult one !!
              For me , I feel hope gives you a reason to hold on. And in some cases ,holding on is important. As a student , the hope for a good score makes me going. And I can see the hopes of people in almost every action they do. We don’t do everything out of just curiosity, there’s a reason behind everything. And I feel that, the hope for a good result is what makes us give our best. The hope that maybe we can make it kinda makes it easier to overcome our fears about what if we don’t, and instills an energy to keep going!!
              Ohh! I managed to write this much!๐Ÿ˜‚

            2. I get your point, itโ€™s valid. But how about this:

              Next time, donโ€™t just base everything on hope. Hoping for good marks is bullshit, studying harder is the answer. ๐Ÿ˜‰
              You canโ€™t hope for good marks after giving a shitty exam. Get my point? Hope is an emotional state which makes you hold on to things you โ€œwish to happenโ€. We can do better.
              Ah! The writer in you!

            3. This reminds me of the shloka that is….karmanye vadhikaraste mafaleshu kadachana.
              Means: we should do only the efforts and don’t think for the result!

            1. For me , expectation are a stronger version of hope, or a trap from where you can’t escape. Expectation are sucking !! They give you disappointments.๐Ÿค

            2. Yeah. Youโ€™re right.
              Hope is a weaker kind of expectation where you already assume it wonโ€™t happen but want it to happen and youโ€™ll be okay if it doesnโ€™t. Hope is less destructive that way.
              Thereโ€™s a fine line but still when people hope for things to happen, they expect them to happen.

            3. Ohh! Ykw, before sometime, I wrote an article about hope. And,now you are saying the same thing which I wrote.๐Ÿ˜ƒ I am surprised!
              For the latter part, I agree to some extent, maybe.๐Ÿ˜‚
