Love, o love. Love!

“And when you notice the serendipities when you’re in love….” she added and I was like “serendi what??”

Okay why do you have to use fancy words when you’re in love? Doesn’t “I’m happy” suffice?? I’m not a native English speaker and my vocabulary is abysmal. So, I was talking to someone I know about love and was accused of not knowing what love is. Who said I don’t know? I do. It’s a chemical reaction in your brain that’s fleeting before you know it.

Before you label me extremely pessimistic, take a moment and think. Why do you love? If you have a reason, it’s not love. If you don’t, you’re insane. If something doesn’t happen for a reason, it happens as a consequence and they always change.

My friend asked me to try writing about love and then she’ll believe I know what it is. This is what I came up with:

Love is unpredictable, like bird droppings from the sky
Love is loud, like dogs howling in the night
Love hurts, like when a corkball hits your eye
Love fades slowly, like hair dye
Love is everywhere, look for it, they say it’s blind

Tell me now. Tell me I can write about love and don’t crib about poor quality of this post, I just wrote it because I was bored.
