Just a thought.

You call something cute mostly because of the physical features unless it’s human, call it adorable. But what if I say you’re wrong? What if cuteness has a dark side to it? That we spare and play with them because the objects trigger sympathy and project helplessness so that we don’t hurt or disfigure them?

I might be wrong but I might be right too. Finding something cute is just your predatory instinct taking a back seat because it’s intimidated my something it can’t or doesn’t want to prey on.

    1. I was thinking about what makes something cute. How we feel about things generally depends on how we perceive them. So what makes people attribute cuteness to something? What’s your idea of cute??

      1. Probably those adorable kittens all over social media! That’s totally my perception of cute 😂

Well, now whenever I see the word ‘cute’ I would definitely think of this. You probably just ruined my whole idea of cuteness 😂

            10. Well one perspective could be that cuteness is related to affection. There are people in the world who are fond of their pet ‘TIGERS’….

But I’m done playing the devil’s advocate 😀

Idk about objects but I feel like that’s true when in books and movies, the guy says the woman is “cute” when she’s legitimately angry. Even female authors put female anger as “feisty” and “adorable” and what is making them angry is cast aside when the guy does sumn cute to shut her up or whatever. This really pisses me off to an extent you don’t even realise 😂

    1. I’ve noticed this too and it has become a trend. We can’t help it because public likes scenes like these🤷🏻‍♂️. Think about it apart from movies, you might find some legitimacy in what I said. What’re you like when you’re pissed?? Throwing things and breaking doors??

I don’t get actually mad often and I’m the silent mad. Even if someone did that only when they’re angry…it’s an indication they need to control it b4 they commit some kind of violent action-for their own good.

Thinking about that, when it’s the female’s POV, they are *always* scared when a man is angry. Even if its only just a lil bit of fear. Man, what’s up with such ideologies?
