“We managed to saved your son, but he’s in a coma” said the doctor. The woman looked through the glass, at her inanimate son. Without a moment’s hesitation, she ran to the temple which is right outside the hospital, for some reason, looked right into the god’s (idol) eyes and whimpered:
“If you really exist, save my son. Bring him to life.” why that question though? Why do we doubt god’s existence the moment we’re in trouble? And why do we indulge in worship saying it’s his/her grace? Are we that confused?
A dozen zoomed close up shots )of the idol and mother) later, she lit camphor in her palms and stretched her hand forward. In devotion, of course. Did god asked her to hurt herself like that? Will this please god? Is he that psychotic? The logic of TV serials is as elusive as god himself.
I don’t know who’s bad her. God? Or us? Or the serials. I have no fucking idea.
The boy is gonna recover soon, coma isn’t death. God isn’t gonna wake him up. Have faith in doctors and the money you saved up.
And god help the nimcompoop who wrote the script.
